Dulas Cottages

The cottage is a great base from which to enjoy the beautiful countryside and attractions of the area.

If you like walking, the spectacular valley on the southern flank of Cader Idris, with sparkling lake Taly-y-Llyn at its foot, is just 15 minutes to the north by car. The nearby Centre for Alternative Technology (CAT) now has its own water-powered 'cliff' railway while the recently restored Corris Railway is just up the valley.

The coast at Aberdyfi is just 20 minutes away by car, with its pretty sea front, harbour and water sports. There are also beaches at Ynyslas to the south and Tywyn to the north. The area is famous for its re-introduction of the Red Kite, and the RSPB bird sanctuary at Ynys Hir flanks the Dyfi estuary.

You'll find plenty to do in the area like pony trekking, quad biking, King Arthur's Labyrinth, fishing, and a mountain bike track in the nearby forest. The leisure centre in Machynlleth can be handy too, when the sun isn't shining, with its friendly pool, badminton courts and indoor bowling green.
